      Establishment of the institution date & year:-

July 2007. Permission letter from University of Mumbai vide No. Aff./Recog.I/ 3780 of 2007 dated 27.07.2007

     The VES College of Pharmacy was started in July 2007, in a six storied separate building in Hashu Advani Memorial Complex with a built up area of 3468.54 sq. mts. Our goal is to impart Quality education and contribute towards character building of students.  Our endeavor is to provide a very conducive academic atmosphere for students to freely interact for better learning.

Goal of VES College of Pharmacy

  1. To provide highest standard of education to students through excellent faculty, library and state-of-art laboratories.
  2. To inculcate professional conduct, facilitate and emphasize on the overall personality development of students.
  3. To develop modern Information Center for Pharma Education & Research by net-working with Research Centers of Excellence at National and International level.
  4. To have strong interactions with pharma-industry, hospitals and other health-care teams and regulatory bodies viz. UGC, State Govt., AICTE, PCI etc.
  5. To have Continuing Education Programme for the industry, academia and medical profession
  6. To establish, monitor and follow-up the Alumni activities, from 1st passing out batch, from the academic year 2011-12.
  7. To encourage the activities of the Pharmacy profession through membership for the development of strong professional associations.

  • Academic Year 2007-08's Results:  98.11 %
  • Yogesh Badgi, Head of Vedanta Centre of VES delivered 21 lectures on the science and art of managing oneself from 03.07.08 to 29.03.08.  This was attended by all our students, teaching staff and most of the non-teaching staff members.
  • Rx Pharma Festival, 2nd - 3rd Feb., 08
        15 students participated in Rx Pharma Festival held on 2nd - 3rd Feb. 2008, wherein all the Mumbai pharmacy colleges participated
  • Blood Donation Camp, 22.02.08
         On the eve of 82nd birth anniversary celebrations of Founder of Vivekanand Education Society, Shri. Hashu Advaniji, 03 students donate blood. 
  • Industrial Visits & Interactions
       Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizer's Ltd., 17.01.07       

        All the 53 students of F. Y. B. Pharm. and 02 faculty members visited Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizer's Ltd. 17th Jan. 2008.  They observed the process of sewage water treatment to water quality required and used by them. Evaluation of the questionnaire after their visit shows that this visit helped them.

  • IPA Students Congress, 15th - 17th Aug. 2008
         The 1st national level Indian Pharmaceutical Association's Student's Congress  was organized in Mumbai from 15th to 17th Aug., 2008 where in poster presentations were invited from both UG and PG students.  Our students had   2 submissions.
         The paper entitled "Reforms in Retail Pharmacy for Consumer Satisfaction"    authored by S.Y.B. Pharm. students, Ms. Sucheta D'SaMr. Priyank R.  Parikh and Ms. Gargi D. Redkar, was awarded 3rd position. 
  • Social Consciousness and Commitments
         We had Mr. Virendra Kumar Jain, Mr. S. N. Salve, Mr. N. R. Kamat, all Chief Engineers, Technical Service and Mr. A. S. Karmakar, Deputy Chief Safety Officer as visitors on duty from Rashtriya Chemical & Fertilizers Ltd., on our complaint call over a period of one year for which the surrounding and inhabitants of Collector Colony, Sindhi Society & Chembur Camp are breathing air with humanly undetectable levels of ammonia.
         This was possible due to the constant efforts put by our administrative team who were persistently and silently working on this issue.  Our college office is still on the task and as soon as we humanly detect perceptible ammonia levels a phone or SMS reaches to the concerned authorities of RCF for immediate control checks.
         This college is environment conscious and plays its social role responsibly and silently.

Future plans/ expansion plans:

                Undergo NAAC accreditation process in 2011 - 2012, at the end of fifth year from the time of inception of VESCOP.  The college will have the Masters immediately after the first batch of students pass subject for Pharmaceutics.
